I remember growing up and doing the *duck and cover* drills in the 60′s…those exercises in futility where we, as kids who placed all our trust in the adults of our world, would listen to what we were told, and had our fears assuaged by said adults who told us that the way to survive a nuke attack was to duck under your school desk, and cover your head with your hands.

Looking back on that now, 40 some odd years later, I can see how stupid of a suggestion it was, but at the time, its what we believed as kids. Hell…what we were learning in 7th and 8th grade, kids are now learning in 4th and 5th. Kids today aren’t as naive as kids in the 60′s, and as a result they know now, at a much younger age, that in the face of a nuke, hiding under a desk and covering your head does as much good as grabbing your ankles and kissing your ass goodbye.

As a kid, I was a voracious reader. I remember reading Chariot of the Gods when it came out…having to hide it from my parents because it was as close to blasphemy as you could get, and coming from a Catholic family and being sent to a Catholic school, that book was taboo.

I also read the various books in the early 70′s that dealt with Nostradamus, and the predictions in his quatrains. Fascinating stuff, that is. I’m not one to poo-poo that kind of stuff…there is, as far as I’m concerned, a Higher Power (whatever it is, its probably beyond our comprehension…) and I do believe that there are those among us, either in the past or present, that can tap into something that, again, is beyond our comprehension.

In reading today’s news that Iran has flipped the switch, and seeing who it is that helped them flip it, I’m reminded of the prediction by Nostradamus that World War III will be a war so devastating, so complete, where fire rains from the sky, where the Eagle and the Bear go at it, and the Eagle (so it seems from his predictions) will survive, just barely, and a thousand year peace will come upon the land.

Most people thought that was a reference to the Cold War, where we out-spent and out-militarized the Soviets. But I think that the people trying to decipher the Quatrains were wrong. Our wars, either hot or cold with the Soviets, have always been wars by proxy. The Soviets invade Afghanistan, we supply the rebel forces with weapons and tech. Iraq goes toe-to-toe with Iran, and we aid Saddam Hussien and prop him up while the Soviets throw their support behind Iran.

Prior to that, we were propping up Iran (when the Shah was in power) while the Soviets were aiding Lebanon and Syria.

Kind of make it extremely prescient when George Washington warned us to beware of foreign entanglements, eh?

But I digress…

The point of my rambling here (yes, there is a point) is that Nostradamus’ prediction was NOT the Cold War…its the coming war in the Middle East. Russia (the Bear) has just aided Iran in firing up the nuke reactor. America (The Eagle) has, without a doubt, armed Israel to the teeth with enough nukes to level the Middle East 10 times over.

I’m afraid that with Iran now being able to produce their own enriched uranium (thanks to the Russians) the fuse has been lit on the Middle East powderkeg. The religious hatred that has plagued the Mid-East for thousands of years, that has led to more genocides of more cultures than all other civilizations combined, will in a few more short years culminate with a nuclear war. The nut-case in Iran is hell-bet on going down in history as the one to exterminate the Jews. I’m convinced that he thinks the Koran will have a few more chapters added to it which enshrine his conquest for the coming millennia.

I personally think that he has no idea AT ALL of what he’s up against. One nuke fired by him would get a response of 10 fired back from Israel.

But maybe thats what we need…the complete and total destruction of the Middle East and the surrounding satellite states that are infested and infected with a religion that only knows how to hate. Once Iran pulls the trigger, all bets are off. Mecca and Medina will be obliterated in the aftermath. Jerusalem and Nazareth as well. Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Damascus, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Afghanistan…the whole hive of hatred and intolerance will be exterminated.

And the Thousand Years Peace that Nostradamus predicted will begin.

Problem is, a thousand years is what will lull humanity into complacency, and the resurgence of Islam as an even deadlier and more inhumane religious belief will take place. Its been around a thousand years since the Crusades (the start of the Crusades is generally held to be the year 1096). Islam was quelled then, and the Muslim culture was driven into the sands of the deserts.

Took a thousand years to rear its ugly head again.

It’ll be decimated now that the Russians have lit the fuse…

Just think of what kind of hatred Islam will foster after licking its wounds for another thousand years…

So I’m perusing FoxNews, and came across this article, which tells of how our LibTards in Congress and bunches of “advocacy groups” (codewords for those who steal from the rich and give pennies to the poor while they line their own pockets…) are having to swallow a very bitter pill in the form of their Golden Goose having constipation, and laying no more eggs.

So what is it that has these folks all shaking in their Birkenstocks? Well, there’s only so much money to go around, and the recent $26 billion “aid package” (more codewords for the teachers union bribe so as to buy some votes this November) has 46% of its funding (thats $12 billion) coming from the Food Stamps pool-o-cash. Here’s a quote that I feel sums up the arrogance that is the Democrats and LibTards in general…

Or maybe turning off the phone line so as to afford to buy groceries? You mean like that?

Stretch Pelosi, Steny (what mentally vapid parent names a kid *Steny*?…might as well named him Quimby…) Hoyer, and the rest of the Liberal Goose-Stepping Drones in the House are all pissed off because they think that the American People are infatuated with them for *granting* them the *right* to free healthcare, and that alone guarantees their re-election.

Which just proves that Pelosi is actually as stupid as she is ugly, and that the beatings Steny took as a kid (because he had a name that just makes bullies want to kick the snot out of him on principal) have rendered him brain-damaged and thinking that being elected means he can *rule* people.

Gibbs was simply stating what the early polling data is suggesting…the American People have had enough of a Congress that doesn’t listen to the electorate. Congress is pissed off because Gibbs has the balls to state the obvious, they feel betrayed because they goose-stepped behind the Jug-Eared Jackass and delivered on their promise to pass a health boondoggle when they KNEW that it was political suicide, The Jug-Eared Jackass promised them cover if they did it for him, then his press secretary throws Congress under the bus and declares that they are in deep trouble because the Electorate is mad at what they passed, and now the poor President is facing the possibility of a House controlled by the opposition, which will give him PERFECT cover and someone different to blame for his failures, because he and Gibbs (and Rahm, too) realize that they overplayed the *its all Bush’s fault* angle.

Here’s my prediction going into this election season, and further into 2012…

After the election, the House will be in Republican control, and the Senate will be much closer to an even balance. Dems will still control the Senate, but only by 2 seats, MAYBE 3…

OBambi will try to get another Socialist / Marxist bill passed, and it will be defeated in the House each and every time. He will then start the *its Congress’s Fault* bullshit, blaming them for not doing enough to hold onto their seats in order to help him bring Hopey Changitude to Americans who voted for change.

Libs will blame Rahm for selling them a bill of goods on how their constituents would write songs in their honor, erect statues in the town squares, and collectively throw the Constitution out the window so as to be able to bestow onto their reps the title of Duke, thus de-facto making OBambi the King of America. Rahm will counter that Gibbs promised to run interference and to find stupid mundane stuff to call a *crisis* so as to distract the voters…Gibbs will blame Pelosi for not chastising the Electorate and cracking down on them with an iron fist as is expected by all good dictators.

Its already starting. The cracks are forming, and the strange bedfellows that were made are now exposed in the bright light of day. Reminiscent of Ted Kennedy, it took God himself to “retire” (D) Senator Robert Byrd from the Senate. That power must be an intoxicant, because Byrd simply would not leave. If your agenda was the destruction of the black race, why would you!

Byrd is described as a fearless fighter for the Constitution, and the state-run media outlets say things like, “Byrd had a short stay in the Klan.”

Byrd is quoted in 2005 as saying of joining the Klan, [pp], “I know now I was wrong…I apologize a thousand times!”

I guess Byrd isn’t counting his filibustering of the 1964 Civil Rights Act that Republicans sponsored, whereby blacks would actually be treated as true citizens of America. No apology for that was ever made.

Further, Byrd overlooks his Party’s stance against the Republican-sponsored anti-lynching laws. Byrd just couldn’t fathom the idea of taking away the Democrats’ favorite sport of “Eeny meeny miny mo, catch a n*gger by the toe?”

Byrd’s ending? “If he hollers, don’t let him go…string his black ass up!”

Byrd didn’t regret being in the Klan; Byrd regretted having to admit that he was in the Klan! And Byrd wasn’t just IN the Klan, he WAS the Klan.

Klan leadership recognized Byrd’s ability to recruit, and admired his leadership. Being a stellar member in the Klan helped Byrd achieve and retain his high ranking in the Senate.

What does Byrd has to be sorry about, given that the Klan provided his meteoric rise within the “Party of the Klan”—the Democrats! Byrd should have just accepted what “fate” dealt him, and not apologized for being what he was—a cross-burning racist, his whole miserable life.

Byrd is not alone in his regrets, however. In case you wonder why Jimmy Carter works so hard building houses for the poor, is he is making up for all the Negros he oppressed.

Though Carter now better known for Habitat for Humanity and disparaging the country whom he presided over as president; let’s just call a cracker a cracker. Carter should be known for the discrimination that he practiced, like when Carter felt that building a black school next to a white school in Sumter County Georgia was not such a great idea. In capitulation to his fellow Democrat racists on the Sumter County School Board, Jimmy didn’t allow black children to get too close white school children.

But Carter didn’t limit his segregationist ways to just schools, as he said here in 1976:

It does leave me curious as to exactly what members of the Klan were lynching blacks and white Republicans?

For the few Progressive Democrats who know or admit that FDR appointed the flamboyant Klansman Black to the Supreme Court, they usually say, “As a member of the Supreme Court, Black later fought for the rights of blacks.” Really? How much fighting should Black have done to undo his representation of a Klansman who killed a clergyman sent to protect black people?

Black’s Supreme Court record on race amounts to little more than “token” gestures on correcting his most heinous record on race, a record of abject oppression and intimidation of blacks.

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer is slamming the Obama administration over government signs posted in the Arizona desert warning visitors to beware of illegal smugglers, saying the signs are hardly the kind of border security plan her state needs.

“This is an outrage,” Brewer said in a new reelection campaign ad.

The ad shows the governor standing next to one of the warning signs in the middle of the Arizona desert, 80 miles from the border and, according to the ad, 30 miles from Phoenix. The signs have in recent weeks drawn attention from border-state lawmakers who say they demonstrate how unsafe the region has become. In the ad, Brewer noted that she recently met with President Obama, who “promised that we would get word” on the administration’s border security plan.

“Well, we finally got the message — these signs. These signs, calling our desert an active drug and human smuggling area. These signs warning people of danger and telling them to stay away,” Brewer said in the ad. “Washington says our border is as safe as it has ever been. Does this look safe to you?”

No…we need to build military bases ON THE FUCKING BORDER. Thats how we did it in colonial times, thats how this country has done it in the 200+ years since the Revolution, and thats how we need to KEEP doing it! Is it any wonder that as the colonies grew, we always built a fort at the leading edge of the expansion, and kept said fort after the expansion moved, so as to have a fallback position.

Same for the Westward Expansion. We would push West, build forts, civilians would come and build towns behind the forts, the military would push another hundred or so miles west, build another fort, more people would follow, and so on.

Now…its no wonder (to me at least) that our drug, human smuggling, and border problems began to spiral out of control roughly the same time that Congress came up with the BRAC initiatives. For those of you who don’t know what BRAC is, its the Base Realignment And Closure initiative that began in the late 1980′s. To date, over 350 military installations have been closed!
