Oregon Man Arrested for buying Firearms

OK…JayG over at MArooned hit on this, and I’m doing so as well, but I’m not going to be nearly as nice as he was…

WHO THE FUCK DO THE OREGON AUTHORITIES THINK THEY ARE FOR TAKING A CITIZEN INTO CUSTODY WHO DID NOT COMMIT A CRIME!!!!

This guy was a Public Employee…worked for DOT in Oregon, it seems.

He was laid off. He goes out and buys a couple of firearms after the layoff.

He’s sitting at home, and the Oregon State Police along with the SWAT unit surround his home, negotiators are called in, the man is arrested (so far no charges have been formally filed) his firearms are seized.

Not only the ones that he recently bought, but ALL of his firearms. Ones that he has had in his possession for a while now, according to news reports.

This is appalling. He was arrested out of *concern* that he may do something with said arms. Since when is *You may do something against the law, so we’re gonna arrest you before you do it* allowed in this country?

Shit…if thats the case, then we’re all gonna be arrested for owning cellphones, because we *may* use them while driving, cause an accident, and kill someone.

We’re gonna be arrested for getting laid off, because *someone* in your former place of employment heard you say *something* about how you thought Obambi was a total watermelon-selling douchenozzle, and boy howdy, you felt obligated to let the authorities know about it just in case a threat was made against the Pres because of a disgruntled employee who felt that he would still have his job if it weren’t for the ObaMessiah’s tax-and-spend policy.

Jesus H Christ! This is AMERICA! I hope like hell that this fellow sues the state of Oregon into the fucking Stone Age! I hope he drives them fucking broke. So damned broke that they won’t see daylight for 50 years.

We have a Constitution that specifically protects us from an over-zealous goobermint that wants to be proactive and arrest people for *maybe* having the potential to *perhaps* commit a crime.

When did my country get flushed down the shitter?
